About Me

Graduating with a B.Mus. from Humber College, Alexei has studied under Alistair Kay, Brian O'Kane, Andy Ballantyne, Bruce Cassidy, and John MacLeod, among others.

Since gratuating, Alexei has played with the Toronto Jazz Orchestra, Mason Victoria's Sonuskapos Jazz Orchestra, the Dan Bodanis Big Band, and are currently a member of the Dennis Kwok Jazz Orchestra. During the pandemic, they have been enjoying working on remote recording projects, composing music, and mixing audio.

Currently, they are working on writing for their Large Ensemble Project, the "MANY WORLDS LARGE ENSEMBLE" - an open source initiative with the goal of documenting and making available the process of composing for, organizing, rehearsing the ensemble.
